My Basic service incorporates the proper mix of procedures and products, leaving your carpets free of harmful or soil attracting residues! In a nutshell my 6 step process is what is specified in the I.I.C.R.C. Cleaning Standard; proper vacuuming (if not already done so), pre-condition, mechanically brushing, spotting, extraction, applying Scotchgard™ (not part of the basic service), and groom the carpeting. Spot & Stain Removal
Spots are usually the result of a spill that have attracted soils from the bottom of our feet to stick to them. With proper preconditioning, most soils and spots disappear from sight permanently. However, some spots may re-appear if the original cause wasn't’t totally removed or cleaning residues were left behind, if that is the case; I’ll be back to treat them!
Stains resulting from a color transfer from food coloring, dye pigments from furnishings or other items, or from some other spill, on the other hand require more advanced treatments. Sometimes it's as simple as a simple pre-treatment and sometimes it's a multi-step procedure. Sorry to say it, even by following the proper procedures, not all stains can be removed from your carpet!
Filtration Stains
You may have notice that there are dark streaks along the edges of your walls, these are commonly known as filtration stains and can be quite troublesome. Caused by air flowing from between the walls and floor, the carpeting acts as a filter absorbing these fine particles . We first apply a specially formulated pre-spray, followed by brushing the soils and then extracting the edges with a special tool. Please note, however, that due to the minute nature of these particles, they may become to embedded in the carpet's fabric to remove completely

These types of stains may become permanent, so please don’t do anything, leave it to a professional, without knowing it making even more difficult to remove, or you may permanently set the stain. That being said, even with proper treatment, not all stains will respond, but still, leave it to a pro.

Specialty Spotting and Stains
PLEASE NOTE, due to the nature of these spots and stains, I can't guarantee their complete removal!
The Three most common add-ons that I run across are;
- Pet Stains & Odor Control pricing varies from
a. One time accidents that may cost from $7.50 to $10.00 for topical spot treatments
b. Sub-surface Treatments vary from $20.00 to $25.00 for areas that area approximately 12”s in diameter and $50.00 to $60.00 for areas that are approximately 24”s in diameter.
c. Extreme cases that call for detaching the carpet to remove the padding and treat the carpet’s backing and sub-floor require a full inspection prior to pricing
- Dye Stains resulting from either organic or synthetic dyes require special treatments, with multiple steps required to effectively treat them. Costs start at $25.00 for a stain 4’ to 6”s in diameter.
3. Filtration Stains that appear along the edges of the walls require special
Products and Tools to properly attempt their removal. The cost is 50¢/ a linear
foot with a $25.00 minimum.
- Other Stains That are less common but still require extra work include (but are not limited to); Coffee, Gum, Make-up, Paint, Syrup, and Tar. In moderation, there is no extra charge, but larger or multiple spots will require an add on charge.
